HERE IS A BIT OF THEIR INTERVIEW WITH 3D WORLD:

In under 12 months, the Bag Raiders duo (Jack Glass and Chris Stracey) have between them spanned the continents Europe and Asia, released radio smash hit Shooting Stars and contributed to the internet viral sensation that is Take You To The Movies (more on this later). Now, with the release of their much anticipated debut self-titled album, Stracey opens up on the inception of the record.

“Before we even really started, Jack and I both knew we wanted to literally try a whole spectrum of different musical ideas – discover whatever sounds and possibilities we could find. Between the two of us, we’ve got a lot of collective musicianship and musical knowledge – and a wide range of influences and skills. We were always able to have that in our minds when looking at a variety of tunes and styles; knowing that to some degree we could combine to bring a chosen sound together.

“We opened ourselves up to different musical directions on the album: light and shade, fast and slow, instrumental and pop vocals. I think the debut has a little bit of something everywhere. There’s tribal and Afrobeat, disco and funk tunes and house tracks too. It’s not all dancey-ness.”
