80s icons Echo and the Bunnymen will headline the 2010 Laneway Festival, alongside Florence & The Machine and Daniel Johnston.
The indie festival has evolved over the past five years, with the Melbourne and Sydney legs of the festival moving away from their namesake 'laneways' this time around. Instead the events will take place in more expansive surrounds, after logistical issues hampered the event last year.
As a result, Sydney's event will take place at the Sydney College of the Arts, while Melbourne's will happen at the Footscray Community Arts Centre.
The full line-up (so far):
Echo and the Bunnymen
Florence and the Machine
Black Lips
The XX
Daniel Johnston (except Adelaide)
Sarah Blasko
N.A.S.A.
Eddy Current Suppression Ring
Hockey
Dappled Cities
Mumford & Sons
The Very Best
Radioclit
Wild Beasts
Whitley
The Middle East
Kid Sam
Dirty Three (Melbourne Only)
In addition to Melbourne and Sydney, Laneway Festival will also hit Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. Tickets go on sale 30th October at 9am through Greentix.
