Miami Horror and Beni get 'Mashed'

The local arm of Ministry of Sound have been delivering the quality releases at a rate of knots this year, and with the fifth installment of the Mashed series they’re continuing their tendency of working with high-quality names to help put them together. In this case it’s Beni, formerly of Riot In Belgium, as well as fast-rising production whiz Miami Horror who will each be mixing a disc, and then hitting the road in support of the release.

The ‘mashed’ approach brings with it an element of everything goes – described as an “off-beat, unpredictable and at times down-right bizarre collection of indie-electro-pop-marvels,” everything is thrown into the audio mixer with “genre, style and era are bent, crushed, melted, disassembled, and finally welded back together to bring you a tracklisting that is as unlikely as it is faultless,” according to the Ministry.

Beni’s CD will feature some massive names in electro and house like Tiga, Jesse Rose and Sebastien Tellier, but the biggest weapon is likely to be his own new single Maximus, featuring the vocals of none other than Sam Sparro.

Miami Horror on the other hand looks more towards the indie-dance side of things with La Roux, Bag Raiders, Yuksek, Little Boots, Lost Valentinos, Phoenix all mashed into proceedings.
